Tyler Cash set a new school record jumping 6-10 and placing 2nd at the California State Meet Saturday.
He was the 12th and final qualifier for the finals after winning a jump-off at 6-6 on Friday. This meant he
jumped first at each height. He calmly made his first jump all the way. The eventual winner, Beau Allen,
a senior from San Marcos, barely cleared 6-11 on his 3rd attempt. VIDEO
Jacob Lopez made the podium, placing 6th in the Discus with a throw of 171-5. He came through on
his final throw to come from 7th to 6th. He also competed in the finals of the shot put placing 10th with a throw of 56-7.75.
Ethan Danforth placed 22nd in the 3200 with a time of 9:24.16.
Three Foothill League Schools scored points in the Boys meet at the State Meet
Canyon 11, Valencia 10, and West Ranch 9.

Adam West from Valencia HS won today's Decathlon. Shane Oliver (class of
2017) took 2nd. The top Cowboy was Sophomore, Austin Hernandez.
We had quite a day at the Masters Meet yesterday Complete Results
All 3 boys qualified for the State Meet next weekend in Clovis. Ethan Danforth
placed second in the 3200 meters in a season best 9:02.29. He set his life
time best at the state meet last year running 9:00.30. Tyler Cash placed 6th
in the High Jump having no misses at 6-4. Jacob Lopez qualified in both the
Discus Throw 4th place 74-0, and Shot Put 6th place 58-0.
