What great experience our boys had at the State Championships over the weekend. They did not advance to Saturday's finals but the experience that they will have coming back next year is priceless!! Jordehn Gammage placed 4th overall in his heat and raced to his 2nd fastest time of the season. He is currently ranked #4 in the Nation for his class of 2025!! Our boys 4x400 relay team of Josh Cambaliza, Emrys Coleman, Jeremiah Taylor and Jordehn Gammage also placed 4th in their heat and finished 12th overall in State!! We are already looking forward to next year's season!! Great Day to be a Cowboy!!

Masters Meet Schedule
Our boy's team placed 4th overall at CIF Finals!! Congratulations to George Stansell as he placed 2nd overall in the Shot Put and advanced to the Masters Championship. Congratulations to Jordehn Gammage as he placed 2nd in the 300 hurdles and advanced to the Master's Championship next week as well. Our Boys and Girls League Champions did not disappoint as they compiled a total of 24 PR's for the meet. We had a total of 39 athletes that advanced to League Prelims!! What a day!! We had 2 JV League Champions at Prelims. But it was Mikaela Warr that had the crowd on their feet. She set 2 Foothill League Meet Records in the 100 and 200!! She also lowered again her own school record in the 200!! Great Day to be a Cowboy!! Now we focus on League Finals on Friday 4/28 at 5:00 at COC.

Our girls 4x100 relay team of Mikaela, Madison, Cayden and Briana lowered their school record time to 47.38!! Congratulations to Mikaela Warr as she placed 5th place and lowered on her school record time in the 100 with a time of 11.75. This time at Arcadia currently places her #1 in our Southern Section and #3 in the State.

What a great way to start our Spring Break. Our Track and Field program hosted over 30 schools competing on Friday evening/night and Saturday morning. Our Canyon team did fantastic with 42 PR's on the boys side and 27 PR's on the girls for a total of 69 PR's for our team. This is crazy!! We constantly have conversations with our athletes that earning a PR is difficult. When one does or a teammate does, we Celebrate!! It's hard, takes a lot of consistent training, focus and emotion to earn it!! My 2 favorite letters of the alphabet: PR!! Great Day to be a Cowboy!! Enjoy your Spring Break!!

Congratulations to Mikaela Warr. 3 New School records!! She broke her previous 100 meter record against Saugus earlier this week. She now added the 200 meter record to her resume at the Don Green Invite. She broke Alysia Johnson record in the 200 that she held since 2001. Mikaela was also part our 4x100 meter relay team that broke our school record against Saugus as well. We are all witnessing history and you are only a Junior!! We are Very Proud of You!! Alumni Shine at Pomona Pitzer College All Comers Meet!!
Jayson Velarde and Jacob Brown made their season debut and did very well. Jayson placed 15th with a time of 8:49 and Jacob placed 28th with a time of 9:01 out of 60 runners in the 3000 meter race.

CIF Finals!!Great Day to be a Cowboy at CIF Finals!! Congratulations to Caitlin Leao as she placed 9th in the 300 meter hurdles and George Stansell placed 7th in the Discus with a lifetime PR of 147’01”. Our ALL CIF teams are the girls 4x100 meter relay and the boys 4x400 meter relay team. Our girls team placed 4th and they improved on their school record time of 48.17. The team consisted of Caitlin Leao, Mikaela Warr, Brianna Bartone and Madison Desvarieux!! Our boys 4x400 meter relay team placed 6th place and ran a season PR of 3:22.42!! The team consisted of Jordehn Gammage, Cameron Hernandez, Emerys Coleman and Jeremiah Taylor!!

Our boys 4x400 meter relay team also advanced and ran a season best time of 3:24.76. Our individual athletes that advanced were Caitlin Leao in the girls 300 hurdles with a lifetime PR of 47.27 and George Stansell in the discus with a throw of 140-06!!
